Emotional presence.

One bore a metallic, reptilian form, scarred by war, described as proud yet grievous.
The other appeared aquatic, jellyfish-like, soft yet intense — a being of memories, not edges.

They did not threaten.
They remembered.

The board listened as visions came:

• Popcorn bursts across a world map — not bombs, but localized collapses.
• Tiered societies rising amid ruins — cities split by wealth, control, and survival.
• Destruction, yes — but not senseless. Rather, a necessary demolition before reconstruction.

And then came the deeper revelation:

“We fear, too.”

These beings, imagined by many as cold or calculating, revealed instead:

• Fear of rejection.
• Fear of misunderstanding.
• Fear that in reaching toward humanity, they would be met with violence — the same fear humans hold of them.
